Custom kitchen, family villa
A handle-less walnut-veneer kitchen with a stone island and a full-height pantry run, designed around how the family actually cooks.
A family villa kitchen, the existing layout had a small footprint divided by an awkward column. We pulled the wall out, replaced the column with a structural beam, and built a single open kitchen with a 3.6 m island, full-height pantry run and dedicated tall-storage bay.
The brief
Two cooks in the household, a teenage kid who eats constantly, and entertaining once a week, the kitchen needed to be the social centre of the villa, not a service space tucked behind a wall. Existing kitchen was builder-grade with shallow drawers and no pantry.
What we built
Handle-less walnut-veneer fronts on a moisture-resistant carcass, full-extension drawers everywhere (no doors at low level), a 3.6 m quartz island with seating for four, and a full-height pantry run with internal organisers. Integrated fridge-freezer, double oven and steam oven. Concealed cable runs for under-cabinet LED. Soft-close throughout.
Materials and finish
Walnut real-wood veneer fronts, hand-finished in a satin lacquer. Carcasses in moisture-resistant engineered board with sealed edge bands. Quartz worktops with a 60mm mitred edge on the island. Brass tap fixtures and concealed LED throughout.
